My Background
First, I am so glad you’re here! I am a mother, wife, teacher, and photographer. I wear many hats and I really like it that way.
I grew up in Centerville, Ohio, GO ELKS! I was a cheerleader and a dancer. And enjoyed growing up with the amenities of the suburbs. Who doesn’t love a quick Target run?!
I went to Ball State and majored in Dance and Elementary Education. Oh, I LOVE to dance. Something about taking a ballet class that just opens up my emotions and endorphins. Here at college I met my husband. We took a class together with our roommates and quickly hit it off. His quiet demeanor and 513 area code sealed the deal for me. This city girl fell for the country boy.
After graduation, I moved to Northern Indiana and taught first grade at a local elementary school. We became parents and welcomed our oldest daughter.
In 2015, we moved to Batesville to grow our family and be close to extended family. And just like that, every two years we added to our family. We now have four children, two girls and two boys. I am still in awe that we have a family of 6. I never thought I’d have such a large family but I would not change anything about it.
In 2020, I left the physical classroom and moved to online teaching while building my photography business.

I have a mini army that I created myself so I understand chaos. I understand strong personalities. I understand special needs. I understand. I don’t want you to ever apologize for your children being shy or shutting down at a family session. We stop and take breaks. I never want to document stress in parent’s faces or tears from a child that is just “done.” So what do I do when this happens? We take a break, we play a game, we children at their level and give them tools to be successful. It’s a process. I want everyone to enjoy it.
2. I’m organized.
As your wedding photographer, we will meet and I will have a detailed timeline of your wedding day. We will make sure all the details are captured. Then you can enjoy your day and I’ll worry about the details. I always have a plan and if anything unexpected pops up, I’m ready!
3. I am good at being in charge
Have you ever managed a classroom full of children on a field trip with 10 parent volunteers? I have and I enjoyed every moment. I am able to manage people from behind the scenes to in front of the camera. I’m able to calm fears, be the sensitive soul, or be your hype girl for any event.
4. I like to have fun
I’m quirky, bubbly, and goofy. I am unapologetic myself. It might have taken 35 years to be confident in my personality but here we are. I want to document fun, so why not have actual fun?!
